Developed for the SMB market, the AutoStor family offers a wide range of storage features and configurations generally found in high-end storage systems but priced for companies with modest budgets. The AutoStor product line is available in two models: the AutoStor XR series, designed for affordability and expansion, and the AutoStor XL series, targeted for high performance and high capacity needs.
The AutoStor XR model can be configured in a 1U, four hard drive option, a 2U, six hard drive option or a 3U, eight hard drive option. The series support a wide-range of disk sizes, from 80GB up to 1TB SATA drives. An optional multi-link expansion feature allows two systems to be connected, offering up to 16TB of raw, block-level storage.
The AutoStor XL model can be ordered in a 2U, eight hard drive option or a 3U, sixteen hard drive option. The XL line has 2 GbE or 4 GbE full iSCSI offload with load balancing and failover. Additional enterprise features include volume snapshots (point-in-time recovery that safeguards against accidental data deletion), dual power supplies, and enhanced backplane optimization (for significantly increased data throughput).
Both product lines are unparalleled in their simplicity, ease of use, installation and storage management. The AutoStor friendly Web Graphic User Interface allows administrators to deploy and manage disk arrays from any location. The Web Graphic User Interface offers a “Quick Install” feature for quick deployment of systems as well as sophisticated Volume Group and User Group administration for more advanced users.
Both the XR and XL series support online volume expansion, dedicated hot spare disks, multiple RAID volumes (0,1,0+1, 3, 5, 6, and JBOD), drive failure detection, and advanced monitoring. The PrimeArray AutoStor product line is ideal for many uses, including Email Archiving, Data Protection, Digital Surveillance (Security) storage, and MS Exchange/SQL Server hosting.
The best feature of the system is the price – entry-level systems start at only $3,400.00. With the AutoStor family of iSCI products, all the features of a robust Storage Area Networks (SANS) are available to small and medium businesses at a fraction of the cost of more traditional Fibre Channel based systems.
